Privacy Policy

Your information, kept with care.

How we look after what you share with us, explained plainly.

Effective date: November 5, 2026

Who we are

Grace & Mercy Funeral Service, P.C. ("Grace & Mercy," "we") runs this website, graceandmercyfs.com. We know you may be visiting during a hard time. We want you to know plainly what happens to your information here.

What we collect

Information you give us

Our consultation and contact forms ask for your name, phone number, and the best time to call. Your email address is optional. You also tell us what you need help with, such as planning ahead, a loved one, our General Price List, or veterans' services. You may also share anything you choose to write to us by email, phone, or text.

Calling, emailing, and texting

The "Call," "Email," and "Text us" buttons open your own phone or email app. The website does not record what you send. We receive it like any call, email, or text.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we use cookies and similar tools to understand visits and to measure and show our ads. These tools collect things like:

  • Pages you viewed
  • The link or ad that brought you here
  • Your device and browser type
  • Your IP address and the approximate location (city level) it suggests
  • Whether you sent a form or tapped to call

These tools may collect information about your activity on our site over time and across other websites.

Tools we use

Google Tag Manager

We use Google Tag Manager to load and manage the analytics and advertising tools described below. Those tools collect the information described in this policy.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, which uses cookies, to show us how people use the site, such as pages visited, time on site, and how they found us. We also use its advertising features, linked with Google Ads, to build audiences of past visitors for remarketing and to measure our ads. Google may combine first-party cookies with Google advertising cookies to do this. Google processes this data. You can read How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Google Ads

This measures whether our ads lead to calls or inquiries. It may also show our ads to people who visited our site when they browse other sites. This is called remarketing. Google and other third-party vendors use cookies to serve ads based on someone's past visits to our website. You can read how Google uses cookies in advertising. You can turn off personalized ads from Google at My Ad Center (https://myadcenter.google.com).

Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram)

Meta may use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies on our site. They collect or receive information from our website and elsewhere on the internet. Meta uses it to measure our ads and to target and deliver ads. We use Meta's standard measurement events only, and we do not set it up to send what you enter in our forms, or medical, financial or other sensitive details, including details about your loved one. You can manage your choices at Facebook Ad Preferences (https://www.facebook.com/adpreferences) or at optout.aboutads.info.

Google Search Console

This gives us summary reports from Google's side about which searches lead people to our site. It does not place cookies on your device.

Other services

We use a website plugin to show reviews from Google. The plugin's provider and Google may receive basic visit information and may use cookies when the reviews load. Links to Google Maps, Facebook, and Instagram take you to those services. They have their own privacy policies.

What we promise

  • We do not sell your personal information for money.
  • We do not use your form details for advertising: We do not send the name, phone number, email address or options you enter to Google, Meta or any advertising service. Our website host and email provider handle those details only to deliver and store your message. The ad tools may learn that a form was sent or a call button was tapped, along with the visit details listed above, but not what you entered.
  • Please keep sensitive details off our forms: Do not put Social Security numbers, medical details, or payment card numbers in a website form. Call us instead. We will take sensitive details by phone or in person.

How we use your information

We use what you send us through this website to:

  • Reply to you
  • Help with the arrangements or planning you ask about
  • Send our General Price List if you request it
  • Keep the records a funeral home must keep

When we care for your family

When you arrange a funeral, cremation or a prepaid plan with us, we collect the details needed to care for your loved one and complete the legal paperwork, such as information for the death certificate. We share these details only as needed to carry out what you ask and what the law requires. That includes the state and local offices that issue death certificates and permits, the medical examiner or coroner when required, cemeteries and crematories, and clergy or celebrants you choose. For a prepaid plan, it also includes the trust or insurance company that holds the funds. We keep these records private and as long as the law requires. Ask us anytime who will see your family's information.

Who else sees it

Inside Grace & Mercy, only the people who need your information can see it. Service providers that run our website, forms and email, such as our website host and email provider, may also handle it, only to provide those services. We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety. Google and Meta receive the automatic visit information described above (not your form details) for analytics and advertising, and they may collect information about your activity over time and across other websites.

Text messages

If you text us, we will reply. We will not send you marketing texts unless you agree to them. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text consent information will not be shared with any third parties.

Children

Our site is for adults. It is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

How long we keep it

We keep form submissions as long as we need them to help you and to keep our records. We keep records of funeral arrangements as long as the law requires.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information. But no website or email is completely secure.

Your choices

  • Cookies: You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features, such as the Google reviews, may not work if you do. You can always call or email us.
  • Google ads personalization: Manage it at myadcenter.google.com.
  • Google Analytics: You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. The Google Analytics opt-out add-on stops Google Analytics from collecting data in your browser, but it does not turn off Google's personalized ads. Use My Ad Center for that.
  • Facebook and Instagram ads: Set your preferences at facebook.com/adpreferences.
  • Industry opt-outs: Visit optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org.
  • Do Not Track: Our site does not currently read "Do Not Track" signals from browsers. Please use the choices above instead.
  • Your information: You can ask what information we hold about you. You can ask us to correct it or delete it. Contact us by phone or email, and we will answer within a reasonable time. We cannot delete funeral records that the law requires us to keep.

Browser settings and industry opt-outs apply to the browser and device where you set them. Google and Meta account settings can apply wherever you are signed in.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page. We will also update the effective date at the top.
